AipostBot

If you found this address in your server logs, this page explains who we are.

AipostBot reads a website once, when the person who owns it asks us to.

AI Post writes social media posts for small businesses. When someone signs up, they give us their website address so we can learn what they do, who they serve and how they sound. AipostBot is what fetches that page.

The User-Agent you saw

AipostBot/1.0 (+https://aipost.social/bot)

What it does

  • Fetches a page because a customer entered that address and asked us to read it.
  • Reads the text, and the colours, fonts and logo, to build that customer’s profile.
  • Honours robots.txt. If you disallow us, we stop.

What it never does

  • It never signs in, creates an account, or fills in a form.
  • It never tries to get past a login, a paywall or an anti-bot challenge.
  • It doesn’t crawl your whole site for the sake of it, and it isn’t used to train AI models.
  • It doesn’t pretend to be a browser or another company’s crawler.

If this is your site and we’re being blocked

Some hosts and firewalls turn away anything that isn’t a person. If one of your customers told you AI Post couldn’t read their site, adding these two lines to your robots.txt lets us in.

Allow AipostBot

User-agent: AipostBot
Allow: /

If your site sits behind Cloudflare or a similar service, you may also need to allow the user-agent above in its bot rules.

If you’d rather we didn’t

That’s entirely reasonable, and this works the moment you save it. We checkrobots.txt before we read anything.

Talk to a person

If AipostBot is causing you trouble, or you want it to stop and robots.txt isn’t practical for you, email [email protected] and a person will answer. Tell us the domain and we’ll add it to our own block list.
